The Georgian Language and Culture Department is delighted to announce that the CE2 students will present a performance entitled “Autumn in Georgia.” This warm and creative event will celebrate autumn traditions through songs, stories, and short performances. Science Picnic at Iliauni

On Saturday, September 27th, from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., the EFC Science Team took part in the Science Picnic organized by Ilia State University – a wonderful tradition now well established for our school! Guided by their teacher and our lab assistant, our students presented various interactive experiments on sustainable development topics such as plastics, light, and DNA. Congratulations to them for their enthusiasm and scientific curiosity!

Parent Representative Elections

The elections for the parent representatives of the École Française du Caucase are approaching. This year, two associations are presenting their lists of candidates: APE and APEC. As part of our efforts to raise students’ awareness about disability, Mr. Anatole Rubin, a para-judo athlete, visited the CM1B class. He spoke with the students about Morse code and its importance in communication for people with disabilities. A wonderful and inspiring encounter filled with learning and discovery!

An open-air photography

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, an open-air photography exhibition, organized by the French Institute of Georgia on the theme “Memory, Abstraction and Contemporary Creation”, was inaugurated by the Ambassador of France to Georgia, Mr. Olivier Courteaud. Through the works of Karim Borjas, Shalva Khakhanashvili and Alex Perret, the public had the opportunity to discover three unique artistic perspectives exploring the connections between heritage, memory and contemporary expression. Franco-Georgian artist Shalva Khakhanashvili was present to guide visitors in interpreting the works and to share his artistic approach. Many thanks to all those who attended, as well as to the artists for this wonderful collaboration.

French School of the Caucasus will have the pleasure of welcoming Ana Ayanoglou

On September 23, the French School of the Caucasus will have the pleasure of welcoming Ana Ayanoglou, poet and radio producer. A graduate of the Sorbonne, she taught French in Lithuania and Estonia before publishing several acclaimed collections of poetry, including Le Fil des traversées (Apollinaire Discovery Prize 2020) and Appartenir (2024, Castor Astral). She will come to share her journey and engage with our students around contemporary poetry.

On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, we had the great pleasure of welcoming poet and writer Mrs. Ana Ayanoglou for an inspiring exchange with our students. Alongside French teacher Mrs. Aurélie Lucheri, the students engaged in conversations on contemporary poetry, explored the author’s creative universe, and shared their own thoughts and emotions. This enriching moment fostered dialogue, creativity, and a deeper connection to today’s literary world. ✨ Our heartfelt thanks to the French Institute of Georgia for making this wonderful event possible.

Inspiring Sports Encounter at the EFC

On Thursday, September 18, we had the honor of welcoming Mr. Anatole Rubin, a para-judo athlete, to our school. 👉 In the morning, he led a session with the CM1B and CM2B classes. 👉 In the afternoon, it was the CE2A, CE2B, and CE2C classes who had the chance to benefit from his visit. On Friday, September 19, Mr. Anatole Rubin accompanied the CM1B and CM2B students to the IBSA European Judo Championship. He will return twice more this week to continue raising our students’ awareness about disability. A huge thank you to Mr. Anatole Rubin for this moment of sharing that combined sports, inclusion, and civic values. Many thanks as well to Mr. Sébastien Canaud, who beautifully captured these moments through his photos!

Back-to-School 2025 at the French School of the Caucasus

The French School of the Caucasus had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Mr. Olivier Courteaud, Ambassador of France to Georgia, on the occasion of the 2025 back-to-school day. The Ambassador shared a convivial moment with students and parents in a festive atmosphere, thus marking the start of this new school year. In the morning, he also met with the two parent associations: the APE, represented by Mrs. Rusiko Gavashelishvili, and the APEC, represented by Mr. Sébastien Couderc, to exchange views on the projects and future perspectives of the FSC. The visit continued with a tour of the school alongside the administrative team. We extend our sincere thanks to His Excellency Mr. Olivier Courteaud for his presence and availability, as well as to the members of the French Embassy and the French Institute who accompanied him: Mr. Richard Requena, First Counselor Mrs. Camille Nora, Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Action Mrs. Lusine Bardon, Counselor for French Citizens Abroad A warm thank you to everyone for your commitment during this important day for our school community.

A joyful and colorful back-to-school!

September 2nd, 2025, our school welcomed more than 520 students, from preschool to high school. The day was filled with joy, good spirits, and wonderful surprises set to a musical background. In the playgrounds, decorated in a thousand colors, preschool and elementary students were delighted to see the famous and much-awaited BUBU, to their greatest joy. For middle and high school, the return took place in stages, with classes being welcomed in the auditorium. This was a special moment of exchange with Mr. Kamel Yassili, Head of School, as well as with Ms. Carolanne Vallée, our new Secondary School Coordinator. For first grade families, an important milestone in their children’s schooling, the school renewed its traditional welcome coffee. A warm occasion to present the expectations and programs of the new year. The 2025–2026 school year has begun under the best auspices, full of energy and promise!
